A 15-game MLB slate is on tap for Friday. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look on Friday?
Ahead of today’s Major League Baseball contests, here are two NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Guardians vs. Royals NRFI (-140)
Gavin Williams steps on the rubber tonight in a game with real stakes for Cleveland. Through 181.0 innings (31 starts), he’s notched a 3.63 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and an AL-leading 244 strikeouts (12.1 K/9). During his most recent outing, the big right-hander spun seven scoreless innings. He comes into this one with a solid 74.2% NRFI rate and 2.84 ERA when pitching at home. On the other side, Kansas City is running out the clock on another disappointing season. The team is averaging just 4.23 runs per game, eighth-fewest in the big leagues. Williams has allowed two runs or less in seven of his last eight meetings with the Royals.
KC will hand the ball to Noah Cameron, one of its best hurlers. Over 172.1 innings pitched (29 starts), he’s recorded a 3.92 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 155 strikeouts (8.1 K/9). Even more important, he’s allowed a first inning run once over his previous ten appearances. Now, he gets to face one of baseball’s lowest scoring offenses on Friday. The Guardians are averaging 4.11 runs per game, fourth-fewest in baseball. Cleveland has produced a minuscule .666 OPS against left-handed pitching, third-worst in the majors. When these teams met on April 7th, Cameron allowed just one earned run over 5.2 innings of work.
Angels vs. Mariners NRFI (-140)
Los Angeles hasn’t had much going for it this season. With that being said, Reid Detmers’ terrific 2026 campaign has been a bright spot. He comes into today’s game with a 3.47 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 204 strikeouts (10.3 K/9) over 179.0 innings. To boot, he enters today’s matchup riding a nine-game NRFI streak. Detmers’ opponents, the Mariners, have had a brief resurgence at the plate this month. Regardless, this remains one of the league’s worst lineups. They’re averaging just 4.05 runs per game, third-lowest in baseball. That number drops down to just 3.79 when playing at home.
As for Seattle, Bryce Miller gets the nod this evening at T-Mobile Park. In spite of a difficult second half, the right-hander is beginning to look like his old self. He’s allowed just three earned runs over his previous 10.1 innings pitched. Even more crucial, Miller owns a career 94% NRFI rate when pitching at home. On the flip side, Los Angeles’ lineup doesn’t inspire much confidence. Since August 1st, the Angels have scored an MLB-worst 175 runs. When Miller last faced the Halos back in July, he allowed just two hits over seven scoreless innings. That bodes well for his chances at another clean first inning this evening.
