After Week 2:
Tyler Shough leads the league with 662 passing yards, while C.J. Stroud has attempted the most passes (93). Brock Purdy has the highest completion percentage at 80.4%, while Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff, Dak Prescott and Bryce Young have thrown the most touchdowns (6). Drake Maye and Cooper Rush have thrown the most interceptions (4), while Malik Willis has taken the most sacks (9). Shough has completed the most passes over 20 yards (11) while Lamar Jackson leads the league with four completed passes over 40 yards. Finally, Drew Lock has the longest completion at 82 yards.

5. Geno Smith ($4,900) & Garrett Wilson ($6,300), Jets at Lions
Through two games, Smith is completing 70.8% of his passes without throwing an interception and has been sacked only four times. It’s a complete 180 from last season when Smith looked discombobulated all season, completing 67.4% of his attempts while leading the league with 17 interceptions and 55 sacks taken.
In the opener, he threw only 24 passes due to the Jets being in control. Last week, he attempted 41 passes and finished with 15.6 FPTS. With the Lions at home and expected to put up points, Smith will likely be closer to 40 pass attempts than 20. While the volume will be there, the matchup is also a good one, as Detroit is 22nd in EPA/pass and the secondary has been swiss cheese with both starting safeties out.
Wilson is second on the team with 14 targets, but he is the number one option in the passing game, garnering seven targets in each of the first two games. He’s caught 11 for 136 yards and a touchdown. This could be the game when we all nod our heads and mutter, “Yeah, that boy good.”
4. Drew Lock ($5,200) & Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($8,600), Seahawks at Commanders
When Drew Lock was selected in the second round of the 2019 draft by Denver, expectations were high for a franchise-level type leader. Unfortunately, the task was too vast for Lock, and he became a journeyman quarterback. Now at age 30 in his third season with the Seahawks, the mission is simple: Don’t F things up and feed JSN. Through two games replacing Sam Darnold, Lock has gone 35-of-48 (72.9%) for 422 yards and four touchdowns without throwing an interception.
JSN is tied for third with 22 targets and leads the NFL with 277 yards, four touchdowns, 13 first downs and an 82-yard touchdown.
The Seahawks are heavy road favorites, so the run game could take precedence. That said, there will still be opportunities in the pass game and the threat of the run will open up plenty of seams. And when Lock drops back to pass, chances are high that Drew will Lock onto JSN.
Washington has had issues defending the pass to start the season. The EPA/pass is 26th while allowing a completion percentage of 71.4%, the sixth-highest mark. The 8.6 yards per attempt is the fifth-highest while the 137.1 quarterback rating is the highest by a wide margin. Washington has been able to generate pressure, but the run game of Seattle should neutralize that.
3. Patrick Mahomes ($6,200) & Xavier Worthy ($4,400), Chiefs at Dolphins
The Seahawks and Chiefs are in similar situations. Both are traveling and heavy favorites. Both want to run the ball and are facing porous pass defenses. Miami is allowing the most EPA/pass through two weeks and the roster is devoid of talent on both sides of the ball. The volume likely won’t be there for Mahomes, but the efficiency should be sky-high and will be akin to shooting fish in a barrel.
The 118.5 quarterback rating allowed by Miami is the second-highest while the 78.8 completion percentage is the highest. Miami is second-worst in pressure rate and has yet to rack up a sack.
The number one receiver for the Chiefs is Travis Kelce, but for the wide receiver group, Worthy leads the way with 13 targets. Interestingly, Worthy is averaging 3.3 yards per target and 5.4 yards per reception as Tyquan Thornton has been the deep threat. Worthy does have blazing speed with a 4.21 40 and was at 7.3 yards per target and 12.7 yards per reception last season. The role has changed but there could be a few deep shots while he’s always in play to take a short pass to the house.
2. Lamar Jackson ($7,500) & Rashod Bateman ($4,700), Ravens at Cowboys
There’s something missing in allas. Where’d the D go? The Cowboys are posting the third-worst EPA/pass through two games. The 71.9 completion percentage is fourth-highest while the five passing touchdowns allowed are tied for the third-most. The pressure rate is seventh-lowest. Now the unit has to face the juggernaut Ravens offense with Derrick Henry smashing on the ground while Jackson slices and dices however he wants.
Jackson has gone 38-of-56 (67.9%) for 559 yards and two touchdowns through the air. The 10.0 yards per attempt and 14.7 yards per completion lead the NFL. Zay Flowers was a big reason for those numbers, but he’s doubtful to play in this one. While Bateman doesn’t have the speed or jitterbugginess of Flowers, he’s a former first round pick with good size at 6-foot-1, 193 pounds and runs a 4.39 40-yard dash. Bateman led the team with nine targets in Week 2, catching seven for 88 yards and a touchdown.
1. Josh Allen ($8,000) & D.J. Moore ($6,800) if playing – Khalil Shakir ($4,800) if Moore out, Bills vs. Chargers
I put Allen here out of respect for his fantasy greatness. He’s gone 40-of-60 for 582 yards and five touchdowns without throwing an interception. The 11.4 average yards per attempt leads the NFL and the quarterback rating is a robust 125.8. Now, Moore and tight end Dalton Kincaid are 1A/1B on the target totem pole, but Moore is dealing with an injury. So is Keon Coleman. If both are out, then Kincaid would likely be the target hog while Shakir should get peppered in the short to intermediate areas. Shakir is uninspiring, but the yards per reception is 12.6 while the yards per target is 7.3. He currently leads the wide receivers with 12 targets and the four red zone looks are second only to James Cook II.
The Chargers have been atrocious on both sides of the ball. The EPA/pass is 25th and the 69.7 completion percentage is eighth-highest. The pressure rate is middle of the pack while the three sacks are tied for the fourth-fewest. All you need to know is that the unit made Jacoby Brissett and Kirk Cousins look like competent quarterbacks.
