There are some great games on the Week 2 NFL slate. With plenty of ways to get in on the action on DraftKings Sportsbook, this is a look at my best bets for NFL Week 2.
NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Expert Picks, Predictions and Analysis
Jets +3.5 vs. Packers (-105)
When betting Week 2 in the NFL, it’s important not to overreact. It’s hard to make snap judgments off one game, as really anybody can beat anybody in this league. The Jets got a big Week 1 win against the Titans, and the Packers lost their Week 1 game against the Vikings. However, that result for the Jets was not a surprise to me, as I thought they were very undervalued in the market. Despite the big win, there is still value on them at home, so I’m going back to the Jets well for the second week in a row.
The most important thing to take away from Week 1 with the Jets was the pure competence. They looked like a real, competitive NFL team, something they didn’t look like at all last season. Now, the Jets are probably not going to be competing for a playoff spot this year, but they will be much more competitive than last season. In 2025, the Jets were actively tanking. They traded away their best defensive players midseason and were playing quarterbacks that frankly should not be starting in the NFL.
In Week 1, the Jets proved that Geno Smith can get back to being the solid veteran quarterback he was in Seattle. He’s not a game-changer, but he can manage a game and get the ball out to the Jets’ skill position players like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. The Jets’ offense ranked 10th in the league in EPA/play. The Jets’ defense also looked really solid, ranking 10th in the NFL in defensive EPA/play. The Packers are one-dimensional at the moment with no real running game. The Jets’ defense should keep them in check and limit their scoring output. Green Bay might squeak out a win, but the Jets should keep it within a field goal in their home opener.
Puka Nacua Longest Reception Over 26.5 Yards (-109)
Puka Nacua had an incredible 2025 season. He led the league in receptions, finished second in the NFL in receiving yards and caught 10 touchdowns. In Week 1, he had a solid performance, catching five balls for 74 yards. He is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL with the ball in his hands and can extend a solid gain into a huge one. A big percentage of Nacua’s 74 yards came on one 41-yard gain. He should be able to produce another big reception like that against the Giants.
The Giants are feeling good after their Week 1 win. However, the defense played quite poorly against the Cowboys. The offense covered up those defensive issues by playing well, but the Giants ranked 28th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback last week. They now face last year’s MVP, Matthew Stafford, and the incredible Nacua. This time, they will be on the road, making things even tougher for the defense. Nacua’s longest career reception was an 80-yarder against the Giants in his rookie season. He should be able to take one for at least 27 yards in this game.
Six-Point Teaser: Bengals +8.5 & Buccaneers -2.5
The Bengals picked up a nice Week 1 win over the Buccaneers. They now head to Houston to take on the Texans. In Week 1, the Texans had a tough task facing the Bills. Their high-level defense was not able to slow down Josh Allen at all. This is a second straight tough task for the Houston defense, facing Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and the rest of the Cincinnati offense. This should be a really tight game in Houston with two AFC contenders going back-and-forth. The Bengals should be able to keep it within one score and cover this teaser leg.
The Buccaneers lost their tough road matchup in Cincinnati in Week 1. Their defense really struggled to get stops, but the offense looked pretty sharp after settling in. Now, they are at home against arguably the worst team in the NFL, the Browns. Baker Mayfield and the offense should put together a strong performance against a Cleveland defense that had absolutely no answers for the Jaguars last week. As bad as the Cleveland defense looked, the offense arguably looked even worse. Deshaun Watson is one of the worst quarterbacks in the league and will likely be getting benched soon. Tampa Bay should win this one quite comfortably.
