Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction, Pick for NFL Week 2 on Sunday 9/20/26

Kicking off in the 1 p.m. ET window of the NFL’s Week 2 Sunday slate, the Philadelphia Eagles will face off with the Tennessee Titans. Neither team got off to the start they wanted. The Eagles squeaked by the Commanders in a narrow victory, while the Titans fell short at the hands of the Jets. But Week 2 is a clean slate, and things can change quickly in the NFL.

Looking at the odds, the Eagles enter as seven-point favorites with -325 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Titans are +260 to pull off the upset, with the game total set at 39.5 points.

Eagles vs. Titans Preview

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off their 2026 season with a 24-22 victory over the Commanders. It was a more competitive battle than they wanted, and Philadelphia failed to cover the six-point spread. The Eagles outgained the Commanders 318-295 and avoided turnovers, but didn’t show the dominance they’ll need moving forward. The offensive line has been a strength for the organization in recent years, but Jalen Hurts was consistently pressured, and running lanes were nonexistent for most of the game.

Even so, this Philadelphia team has an extremely high floor. The defense has the potential to be one of the best units in the NFL, and largely did their part in the opener. The Eagles are 58-25 with Hurts as the starter and have won 11+ games in four straight seasons. The team has seen a revolving door of offensive coordinators during this successful stretch, with Sean Mannion the latest play caller at the helm. None of the wide receivers had the desired success in the season opener, with DeVonta Smith recording three receptions for 53 yards and Dontayvion Wicks adding two catches for 73 yards. Tight end Dallas Goedert proved to be the most important member of the passing game, hauling in four catches for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Saquon Barkley finished with 83 rushing yards on 15 carries, but most of it came on a 42-yard run, and he was otherwise quiet.

It wasn’t particularly aesthetically appealing, but the Eagles did enough to get the win in the opener. A long list of improvements remains, but the defense should still be considered a positive. Riq Woolen was targeted heavily and proved his worth in his Philadelphia debut, and both sides of the ball still have room to grow. Key offseason addition Jonathan Greenard remains sidelined with a pectoral strain, and his debut will continue to be delayed. The Eagles will be eager to put forth a more convincing performance, but they kept the main thing the main thing and put one in the win column to start the year.

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans had an up-and-down 2025 season, and wiped the slate clean with Robert Saleh taking over as head coach. Last year’s first overall pick Cam Ward had some encouraging flashes in his rookie season. However, he largely struggled in his 2026 season opener, completing 19 of his 32 pass attempts for just 140 passing yards and a touchdown. Figuring out whether Ward is the franchise guy moving forward is at the top of the priority list for this Titans season, and it is fair to assess concerns raised after the Week 1 result. Ward and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll both took responsibility for the underperformance, but will now look to put it behind them and perform better in Week 2.

While the big-picture storylines are notable, Ward must help the team win right now. Tennessee fell 23-10 to the New York Jets in Week 1 in uninspiring fashion. The Jets outgained the Titans 367-195, Tennessee tallied just 68 total rushing yards, and they went 4-for-12 on third downs. Tony Pollard led the rushing attack with 35 yards on the ground; rookie receiver Carnell Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson both had 38 yards on four and five receptions, respectively.

The offense will continue to be a work in progress, but there is a fair case to be made that the defensive concerns were even more notable. Breece Hall gashed Tennessee for 102 yards on the ground, with New York recording 152 rushing yards. Geno Smith was efficient through the air, completing 19 of 24 passes for 215 yards. This was just one game, and there is still plenty of time for improvement. But unless these changes happen, the outlook for the Titans improving off back-to-back 3-14 seasons doesn’t feel particularly great.

Eagles vs. Titans Pick, Best Bet

This is a matchup between two teams with very different goals and outlooks on the season. Philadelphia has its flaws, but the floor for what this team brings to the table each week is still extremely high. It may not always look pretty, but they consistently find ways to grind out wins.

In contrast, the Titans are still figuring out their identity as a team and building from the ground up. The version of Tennessee that took the field in Week 1 looked like a team that will remain among the league’s bottom feeders, and this is not an opponent that will make it easy to change that.

Expect the Eagles to be eager for this get-right spot in a more favorable matchup as they work through their growing pains in this new offensive approach. The Tennessee Titans should help pave the way, and the margin for error is much larger against this opponent. Philadelphia is not a team you should trust to be backed on significant spreads at a high rate. But this is a rare case where the gap between these two teams is bigger than the seven-point spread suggests, and you should see it in the final score.

Count on Cam Ward’s struggles to continue against a tough Eagles’ defense with no clear weakness. Philadelphia’s secondary is strong, and the Titans wide receivers will struggle to generate separation throughout. The Eagles’ pass rush looked better than it did in the opener, and Ward did not have much time to work against the Jets. It is tough to find a matchup where the Titans can produce consistent offense, and it’s hard to see them exceed the 10 points they produced last week.

On the other side, the Titans’ inability to stop the run will be problematic. The Eagles made some changes to their offensive line unit, and Saquon Barkley can break free for a game-changing run on any given touch. Jalen Hurts is a weapon in the running game himself, and his commitment to limiting turnovers is especially favorable in these types of matchups. Philadelphia will need self-inflicted issues to keep the Titans in the game, and Hurts limits them at one of the best rates of any quarterback. The passing game is a work in progress, but this matchup can help each pass catcher get on the same page. The Eagles did enough offensively in Week 1, and will have a pathway to much more favorable production this week.

This may not be a traditional blowout, but count on Philadelphia holding firm control throughout and gradually pushing the game out of reach. Expect the Titans to fail to put points on the board at any reliable rate and for the Eagles to continue adding points throughout. Expect the gap in talent to be on full display as the Eagles move to 2-0 and cover the spread for the first time this year.

Best Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -7 (-115)

Projected score: Eagles 27, Titans 9
