Matchweek 5 of the Premier League begins on Friday as Chelsea will make the trip to face Brentford.

Chelsea are +130 favorites on the moneyline for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a draw available at +285. Think Brentford can pull off the upset? The home team are +185 to pick up three points. Find my prediction for Brentford vs. Chelsea below.

Brentford vs. Chelsea Prediction, Pick

For this bet to hit, we need Chelsea to win the game. If it ends in a draw, the bet will void.

This season has not exactly started according to plan for Xabi Alonso. Many people fancied Chelsea to be in the title race this year, with no European football and new managers across most of the big six teams. Their attack is flying, with new addition Morgan Rogers making his impact felt along with Cole Palmer and João Pedro. Only Brighton have scored more goals than Chelsea so far this season.

The problem for the Blues has been defensively. They have already conceded nine times in just four games, with only three Premier League teams allowing more goals so far this season. Even in their third round Carabao Cup win against Leeds, Chelsea conceded three goals. The Blues sit sixth in the table, winning two, drawing one and losing one of their first four games.

Brentford sit right behind Chelsea in seventh in the table. They are one of only seven teams who remain unbeaten, as they have won one and drawn three of their opening four matches. They have conceded at least one goal in three of their four games, but they have also scored in every match.

I expect goals in this one, but I think Chelsea have the ability to outscore them here. The Blues are undefeated against Brentford in five straight Premier League games, winning two and drawing three. That’s why I’m going with the draw no bet here instead of the moneyline. I feel comfortable that Chelsea won’t lose this game, but with their defensive problems, I could also see this one ending in a tie.

The Pick: Chelsea Draw No Bet (-145)
