Hunt enters this bout with an undefeated record of 7-0 with six finishes. Before beginning his professional MMA career in 2022, Hunt had a ton of success as an amateur. Hunt went 10-1 with eight finishes as an amateur. Perea is 8-3 with seven finishes by finish in his MMA career. He is trying to join Michael Morales and Marlon “Chito” Vera as UFC Ecuador fighters. Perea is 2-0 in 2026, with his latest victory coming in May against Wellington Madeira.
In this fight, Perea has the physical advantage, with a two-inch edge in height (6’2″ vs. 6’0″) and standing reach (75″ vs. 73″). On DraftKings Sportsbook, Hunt is a slight -112 favorite with Perea as a -108 underdog. This fight is -750 not to go the distance, and the over/under is 1.5 rounds, with the under at -188.
Although Perea is extremely skilled, he has been finished three times in his MMA career. Hunt hasn’t taken much damage, and six of his seven victories came in the first or second round. With such a versatile skill set, Hunt has an arsenal that matches up well with Perea. Even though this is a close fight on paper, I’m backing Hunt at -112, as he hasn’t shown much weakness in his career up to this point.
