The PGA TOUR is ready to start the FedExCup Fall series with the first of the eight tournaments that give players a chance to secure full-time membership and improve their opportunities for the 2027 season. This week’s event is a brand new tournament held on a course that will also be new to the PGA TOUR. Players will be competing for critical FedExCup points and a share of the $5 million purse, which awards $900,000 to the winner.
The event is a standard full-field, stroke play event, and also serves as a tune-up before next week’s President’s Cup contest between the top players from the USA and the International Team. Will one of the seven President’s Cup players claim a win as their preparation for Medinah Country Club or will someone else in the field be the first winner at the The Cliffs at Walnut Cove?
