UPDATE: It looks like Chris Olave’s headed to the sideline with his helmet on, and should be on the field lining up with the rest of the New Orleans starting offense in short order. Sighs of relief everywhere ring out like bells.
Chris Olave headed to the medical tent during New Orleans’ season opener against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. The reason for the visit and his availability to return remain unconfirmed, leaving questions about his entire status.
Olave has a long and unfortunate history of being in-and-out of the medical tent on Sundays; it’s devastating to see him there already this year. New Orleans already entered Sunday without Alvin Kamara, while rookie receiver Jordyn Tyson began the season on injured reserve. If Olave misses additional snaps, Devaughn Vele could receive more opportunities, with Travis Etienne another option in the passing game.
