The New York Giants are hosting the Dallas Cowboys for the first Sunday Night Football game of the 2026 season. This NFC East clash will close out the first major Sunday of the season, and it should cap off a busy and exciting Sunday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, New York is a three-point home underdog. Below, I break down my favorite Jaxson Dart prop bet for Sunday nightโs matchup, focusing on his rushing yards line against Dallas.
Jaxson Dart Rushing Yards Prop Bet vs. Cowboys
Jaxson Dart Over 31.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Dart will be starting the season as the team’s top QB for the first time in his career. He made his NFL debut as a sub briefly in Week 2 against the Cowboys last year and then took over as the starter in Week 4 against the Chargers. He ran for 54 yards in that game and went over this rushing prop line in eight of his 12 games (67%) from then on.
He faced the Cowboys in his final game of the year, running for 32 yards to get just over this prop, leading his team to a 34-17 victory in the season finale.
Dart will be working in a new offense this season with John Harbaugh taking over for Brian Daboll. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will be calling the plays for the Giants, and he’ll be doing that from the booth to start Week 1, rather than on the sidelines.
The Giants will try not to rely on Dart’s rushing ability too much, but Harbaugh and Nagy both have experience with mobile QBs who have put up good rushing numbers. The Cowboys’ defense upgraded this offseason and will be a tough matchup for the Giants, but their strong secondary could force Dart to scramble more.
He only needs a big play or two to reach this total, and his track record shows that he should be able to run for at least 32 yards in this matchup at home, as he tries to get the Giants a big home upset to start the year and quiet the Cowboys’ buzz.
