Tonight’s massive boxing event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, features a Zuffa Boxing and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight Championship fight between Jai Opetaia vs. Noel Mikaelian. Opetaia beat Brandon Glanton in his Zuffa Boxing debut in March. Mikaelian enters this bout as the current WBC Cruiserweight Champion, but that title isn’t on the line as he will look to add more gold to his collection. A WBC Welterweight title fight between Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn is headlining this event. The Main Card begins at 8:00 p.m. ET and airs on Paramount+ in the United States.

Jai Opetaia by KO/TKO/DQ (-180)
This is Mikaelian’s first fight in 2026, as he last beat Badou Jack in December 2025 for the WBC title. Since 2019, Mikaelian has gone 5-1 in his previous six contests, with his lone loss in that span against Jack, which he later avenged. Opetaia is 30-0 with 23 wins by knockout and is one of the best boxers in the world. After making his Zuffa Boxing debut in the Meta Apex, Opetaia now has an opportunity at a big event to display his skills.
Opetaia is the favorite in this fight at -1400, with Mikaelian being a +700 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. This contest has an over/under of 9.5 rounds with both being -115. Opetaia is also -180 to win by knockout and +190 by decision.
Although Opetaia is coming off a decision win, his previous four victories before that came by knockout. With Opetaia coming off a decision, I expect him to enter this bout with extra motivation to pick up a knockout. Even though Mikaelian is also a current champion, as the odds suggest, the two fighters aren’t on the same level. Since Mikaelian hasn’t fought in nine months, he could start slowly, which shouldn’t bode well for him. I’m taking Opetaia to win by KO/TKO/DQ, which is -180 because of his power advantage and experience fighting on big cards.
