What happened to Sam Darnold? Live injury updates for Seahawks vs. Patriots on Wednesday 9/9/26

UPDATE: Darnold has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

UPDATE: Darnold is officially questionable to return with a hip injury.

During the first quarter of Wednesday’s game against the New England Patriots, Sam Darnold went to the blue medical tent. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback limped to the sidelines after getting sacked on third down, believed to have suffered a hip injury.

Drew Lock is now in at quarterback as Darnold went to the locker room for x-rays.

Prior to exiting, Darnold completed one of two passes for 13 yards.
