With Season 52 right around the corner, Saturday Night Live has unveiled its opening lineup of hosts and musical guests for the first four shows. Simply put, the roster is stacked — spanning Big Apple sports icons to Hollywood breakout stars.

Saturday Night Live Season 52 kicks off on September 26, hosted by the “King of New York” himself, Jalen Brunson. Fresh off leading the New York Knicks to their first title in 53 years, the superstar point guard will become the first basketball player to host the show since LeBron James in 2007. Brunson will be joined by Grammy-nominated pop group Katseye.
The following week, acclaimed actress Dakota Johnson will host the show for a third time in anticipation of her upcoming film Verity, alongside Grammy-winning rock band Turnstile. And on October 10, polarizing stand-up comedian and Tires star Shane Gillis returns to Studio 8H for a third time with global music icon Rosalía.
After a brief pause, SNL returns for a highly anticipated Halloween episode that you won’t want to miss. Following her breakout performance in the smash-hit Obsession, Inde Navarrette is set to make her hosting debut alongside Grammy-nominated indie-pop artist Gracie Abrams.
While the official cast for Season 52 has yet to be finalized, several outlets reported on Wednesday that Martin Herlihy is departing the show after five seasons.
