Diamondbacks vs. Royals game delayed due to rain Wednesday 9/9/26

Update: First pitch is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.

Wednesday’s game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Kansas City Royals has been delayed due to rain.

The contest was originally scheduled to start shortly at 6:40 p.m. ET, but inclement weather around Kauffman Stadium has pushed back first pitch. A new start time has yet to be revealed.

The Diamondbacks (78–68) are 1.5-run road favorites with -120 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Royals (64–82) are +100 underdogs, with the game total set at O/U 8.5 runs.

As for the pitching matchup, Arizona’s Zac Gallen is set to face Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch.
