What is new in 2026 Bowman Chrome Baseball?
The 2026 international class is the biggest new element in Bowman Chrome. The release adds a new group of 1st Bowman prospects to the Chrome Prospects checklist, giving collectors their first major Chrome cards of several players who signed this year.
The all-new Across the Seams insert is another addition. Topps has not revealed much about the set beyond its checklist inclusion, but it gives the release a fresh insert chase beyond the usual Bowman Chrome names.
Big Break Autograph Variations are another new chase. Topps specifically introduced the variation for 2026 Bowman Chrome, giving select Big Break insert subjects autograph versions. The Big Break checklist has 25 cards, with 13 players also receiving autograph variations.
WBC Flag Variations also arrive in the product as the World Baseball Classic returns in 2026. The short printed cards use country flags and WBC imagery. They last appeared in 2023, so they are a returning concept rather than a completely new one.

His left-handed swing is the center of the profile. Asigen has the bat speed, feel for contact and physical projection to develop into an offensive-minded shortstop. Pair that with the Mets market, and his 1st Bowman Chrome cards should be among the early targets in breaks and on the singles market.
Francisco Renteria, OF, Philadelphia Phillies
