RHP Paul Skenes | Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Los Angeles Angels ($9,500) — While Paul Skenes has fallen well short of expectations in 2026, he remains the most valuable arm on the board for Sunday afternoon. His unsightly 3.98 ERA is underscored by a far more palatable 3.24 xERA and a 3.07 FIP, indicating that the right-handed fireballer hasn’t, in fact, lost it. Skenes, 24, now faces an Angels lineup that ranks dead last in MLB in wRC+, wOBA, and xwOBA since the All-Star break — also posting the fourth-highest strikeout rate in that span.
Pittsburgh righty Jared Jones — who owns a 4.46 ERA in 2026 — spun six shutout frames with nine strikeouts in Friday’s series opener against Los Angeles.

RHP Clay Holmes | Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins ($7,900) — Clay Holmes is so back — fully recovered from injury and settling in nicely with the Cubs. The right-handed sinkerballer, 33, has meshed seamlessly with Chicago’s MLB-best defense, posting a 1.55 ERA in his first five starts (29 IP) with the club. After a shaky first outing, Holmes has gone on to allow only one earned run over his last 25 innings. The former All-Star now draws a favorable matchup with the Marlins, who rank 26th in wRC+, 23rd in wOBA, and 24th in xwOBA in the second half of 2026.

1B Rafael Devers | San Francisco Giants at New York Mets ($4,900) — Rafael Devers kicked off Saturday’s contest against the Mets with his fifth home run in his last six games. A few innings later, he mashed his sixth. San Francisco’s star first baseman, 29, has been swinging with flame-cloaked lumber as the season draws to a close, hitting .420 with a 1.537 OPS since August 24. The lefty slugger enters Sunday afternoon with 35 homers, an .858 OPS, and a solid matchup against New York’s Christian Scott. The right-hander posted a 6.04 ERA in August and ranks in the bottom nine percent of MLB pitchers in ground-ball rate (35 percent).

1B Mickey Gasper | Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles ($3,700) — And for just $3,700, you can have the modern-day Ted Williams. Utilityman Mickey Gasper has been downright ridiculous since returning to the majors on August 17 — hitting .354 with eight home runs, while leading MLB with a 1.453 OPS across 16 games. The switch-hitting veteran, 30, looks poised to stay hot against Baltimore right-hander Kyle Bradish, who’s liable for a 4.30 xERA and ranks in the bottom 23 percent of arms in pitching run value (-5).

OF Pete Crow-Armstrong | Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins ($6,700) — M… V… Pete! Chicago’s speedy center fielder is quite literally running away with the National League’s most coveted award. Crow-Armstrong, 24, has blasted six home runs in his last seven games — including back-to-back multi-homer performances — for a career-high 39 bombs and counting, right on Kyle Schwarber’s tail for the MLB lead. PCA heads into Sunday with an NL-best .943 OPS and the chance to do serious damage against Miami’s Tyler Phillips. The young righty’s impressive 3.43 ERA is overshadowed by a 4.63 xERA and a 42.7 percent hard-hit rate; worrisome underlying metrics tend to bubble to the surface against one of the game’s premier bats.

2B/OF Ezequiel Duran | Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays ($4,000) — Super-utilityman Ezequiel Duran has quietly caught fire for the Rangers. The 27-year-old righty has clobbered three home runs in his last seven games, giving him 17 on the year with a .789 OPS. Duran boasts an .868 OPS against lefties this season, and he has a chance to pad his stats against the beleaguered Ian Seymour. The second-year southpaw enters with a 4.21 ERA across 42 appearances (12 starts) and the 15th-most home runs per nine innings (1.59) among pitchers with at least 110 frames under their belt.
