Katie Taylor’s illustrious boxing career comes to an end today in an Undisputed Super Lightweight title fight against Flora Pili at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. Taylor is widely regarded as one of the greatest women’s boxers of all time, as she is a former two-division Undisputed Champion and Olympic gold medalist. 

The “White Rhino” Dave Allen is taking on Thomas Carty in a 10-round Heavyweight contest, which is the co-main event of this card. Another featured bout is Paddy Donovan vs. Tyrone McKenna in a Welterweight bout. Donovan is 15-2 with 11 knockouts, while McKenna enters this fight with a 25-6-1 record.

In the final fight of her legendary boxing career, Katie Taylor defeated Flora Pili to win the Undisputed Super Lightweight Championship. Taylor is now a three-time Undisputed Champion, the third fighter to do so in the four-belt era. 

She finishes her career on a four-fight winning streak with a 26-1 record. Taylor recorded 98 total punches, 77 power punches, and 21 jabs in this contest, according to CompuBox. Pili finished with 60 total punches, 41 power punches, and 19 jabs.

The co-main event of this card, Dave Allen vs. Thomas Carty, is ruled a no contest after Carty was unable to continue after hitting the outside. Allen came out aggressive, landing a few effective punches, but Carty responded with offense of his own. As the two were going back and forth, Carty fell through the ropes and landed outside the ring. Carty appeared to hurt his leg after the fall.

It took a few minutes, but when Donovan got going, he landed at a high rate. Donovan displayed his power late in the round.

Less than a minute into the second round, Donovan scored a knockdown. This was another clear round favoring Donovan. McKenna is showing some damage under his eye.

McKenna tried to gain momentum, but Donovan wasn’t fazed and landed effective punches.

Paddy Donovan picked up a victory by fourth-round TKO against Tyrone McKenna. Donovan moves to 16-2 with 12 knockouts in his career. This is Donovan’s second consecutive win. 

Donovan kept moving forward and found success against McKenna, who seemed to be surviving. After McKenna began bleeding heavily, the referee stopped the fight.
