Dodgers catcher Dalton Rushing and third baseman Max Muncy were scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday’s matchup against the Washington Nationals.
Rushing was slated to DH before getting replaced by Alex Call. Muncy was tabbed to man the hot corner before getting subbed for Kike Hernandez.
It’s unclear what caused the late scratches, though the Dodgers would hope to avoid any further injuries to their lineup. Perennial MVP Shohei Ohtani is out of LA’s lineup for the third straight game with several ailments, with the team “hopeful” that he can avoid a stint on the injured list.
