Chad Powers debuted with a six-episode first season in September 2025, bringing Glen Powell on board to adapt an Eli Manning sketch from 2022. In the same vein as Kyrie Irving’s Uncle Drew character from a Pepsi ad and Jason Sudekis origins as Ted Lasso from a Premiere League on NBC promotion, Powell brought Chad Powers to life. Now the series is back for another six quarters – blame the show’s odd episode-naming conventions for that uneven metaphor.

When does Chad Powers Season 2 come out?
Season 2 will premiere on Hulu at 12 a.m. ET on Thursday, September 3. It will be available to stream on Disney+ for subscribers who have a bundle or other qualified plan.
After Season 1 debuted with two episodes, then released the next four over the ensuing four weeks, Chad Powers is adopting a new release model for Season 2. All six episodes of Season 2 will come out at the same time as part of a binge release.

Since Season 2 appears to be picking up right where Season 1 left off, the cast of characters remains pretty consistent for the new batch of episodes. What to expect in Chad Powers Season 2
Season 1 left off right before South Georgia’s big game against Georgia. Ricky discovered Chad’s true identity – the disgraced former Oregon quarterback Russ Holliday – but she got swept up in the scheme in an effort to protect her dad’s standing as head coach. Chad arriving in the locker room at the last moment also robbed the goody-two-shoes Gerry of his chance to start for the Catfish. On top of that, coach Hudson knows that Russ slept with his wife, adding even more stakes to Chad staying undercover.
Heading into Season 2, Russ will try to keep up the act. It looks like his dad, the Hollywood makeup artist, will help out and give Russ more resources this time around. Danny and Russ are still a team, too, but that is the extent of who knows about the ruse. All the while, Russ – as Chad – will try to lead South Georgia to the College Football Playoff berth. That could be tough with college parties, an increasingly paranoid Gerry and an overbearing booster in Tricia Yeager closing in, though.
