A 15-game, 30-team MLB slate is on tap for Tuesday. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look on Tuesday?

Giants vs. Pirates NRFI (-140)
Logan Webb is the lone bright spot for an otherwise awful Giants club. Through 147.2 innings pitched (24 starts), he’s notched a 3.72 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 118 strikeouts (7.2 K/9). The right-hander has been consistent over the past few weeks as well. He’s allowed two earned runs or less in five of his previous six appearances. A road date with the Pirates, one of baseball’s best lineups, could spell trouble this evening. However, the Buccos are in the midst of a rut. Pittsburgh has scored a National League-worst 27 runs over its last ten contests. Webb enters this one in the midst of a six-game NRFI streak as well.
As for the home team, staff ace Paul Skenes will toe the slab on Tuesday. While he remains an elite talent, the former NL Cy Young winner has looked a bit off in 2026. Over 145.0 innings (27 starts), he’s put up a 3.79 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 175 strikeouts (10.9 K/9). Still, we just need one clean inning to start tonight’s matchup. Since the start of the 2025 season, Skenes owns a superb 85% NRFI rate. There’s no reason to expect anything different against one of the league’s worst hitting clubs. San Francisco has scored 106 runs since August 1st, seventh-fewest in the majors. To boot, the Giants have accounted for baseball’s sixth-worst YRFI rate (26.09%).
Yankees vs. Angels NRFI (-130)
Gerrit Cole will be on the bump tonight for the visiting Yankees. It’s been a terrific return to the majors for the veteran, who missed all of 2025 due to injury. Through 98.2 innings (17 starts), he’s posted a 3.12 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 105 strikeouts (9.6 K/9). The former Cy Young winner has been especially dangerous during the first inning; he comes into this one on a nine-game NRFI streak. The Angels are averaging 3.61 runs per game at home, worst in all of baseball.
Last night’s one-run showing marked yet another disappointing effort at the plate for the Yankees. In the absence of Aaron Judge, this group has struggled to find its footing offensively. That’s especially true during the first inning, where they’ve recorded the AL’s third-worst YRFI rate on the road (22.86%). Tonight’s hurler, Grayson Rodriguez, has been terrible this season (6.05 ERA, 1.52 WHIP). Still, he’s allowed just one run over his previous 12.2 innings pitched. Right now, New York’s offense is an automatic fade during the first inning against just about everyone.
