DeVonta Smith was a rock-solid fantasy asset last season. The 27-year-old receiver caught 77 passes for 1,008 yards and four touchdowns, making him the No. 21 scoring receiver. While this was a strong campaign, Smith has a direct path to a career-best season in 2026, now that A.J. Brown is with the Patriots.
2026 Fantasy Outlook: DeVonta Smith
Smith has topped 1,000 yards in three of his last four seasons despite playing next to Brown, who is a terrific target earner. Last season, Brown led the Eagles with a 29.5% target share while Smith ranked second at 25.3%.
Smith was excellent across three contests with Brown inactive over the last two seasons, averaging 16.6 FPTS per game. The wideout averaged 6.7 catches for 79.7 yards and 0.3 touchdowns in those contests.
Usage-wise, Smith garnered a target on a massive 30% of his routes, and he averaged an elite 2.6 YPPR with Brown out. To put this into perspective, this YPPR average would have ranked third among receivers last season, trailing only Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who were the top two scorers at the position.
With Brown being traded, the Eagles signed veterans Dontayvion Wicks, Elijah Moore and Hollywood Brown this offseason. Still, all of these players have been inconsistent receivers and target earners throughout their careers. Philadelphia also drafted Makai Lemon out of USC in the first round of this past NFL Draft, and he has the potential to be a strong contributor in this offense. Still, Lemon has missed time this summer with a hamstring injury, and the rookie commanding the same type of target share as Brown is unrealistic.
Dallas Goedert remains with the Eagles, and he should see a boost in usage as well with Brown out of the picture. Still, Smith is the clear No. 1 pass catcher for this Philadelphia offense, and he should dominate targets for a unit looking for a big bounce-back season under new OC Sean Mannion.
Smith could see a target share around 30%, and finishing as a top-10 receiver in fantasy football is possible. Smith currently has an ADP of 30.1 for Best Ball drafts on DraftKings, and he is a great selection in this range.
