What happened to Pete Alonso? Live injury updates for Orioles vs. Athletics on Sunday 8/30/26

In the top of the eighth inning of Sunday’s game against the Athletics, Pete Alonso was replaced by Jackson Holliday. Alonso took a 95 mph fastball off the helmet on a 1-2 count. He was able to get up and walk to first base.

Prior to exiting, Alonso went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a walk.

Since Alonso had at least two at-bats, he is not eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
