What happened to Elly De La Cruz? Live injury updates for Reds vs. Cubs on Sunday 8/30/26

In the top of the seventh inning of Sunday’s game against the Chicago Cubs, Elly De La Cruz was replaced by Ivan Johnson. Cruz injured his left quad after attempting to beat out an infield hit.

Prior to exiting, De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two walks.

Since Cruz had at least two at-bats, he is not eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
