The start of Sunday’s Dodgers-Tigers series finale has been delayed because of inclement weather in Detroit. First pitch at Comerica Park had been scheduled for 1:40 p.m. ET.
Detroit announced the delay shortly before 1 p.m. ET. The Tigers have not announced a revised start time, but said further updates will follow.
Showers and thunderstorms should remain near Comerica Park through the original start time. The strongest rain could pass before 3 p.m., although scattered storms remain possible afterward.
Tyler Glasnow remains scheduled to start for Los Angeles against Detroit left-hander Framber Valdez. Glasnow enters at 3-0 with a 3.02 ERA, while Valdez stands 8-9 with a 4.35 ERA.
The teams split two 2-1 games to open the series. Los Angeles won Friday before Detroit answered Saturday on Kevin McGonigle’s walk-off hit. Both clubs have scored three runs through 18 innings.
Los Angeles enters Sunday at 81-55, while Detroit stands 63-72. This story will be updated when the Tigers announce a new start time or postponement.
