Kansas City Royals at Cleveland Guardians game delayed due to rain Sunday 8/30/26

UPDATE: The new start time for today’s Royal at Guardians matchup has now been scheduled for 2:10 p.m. ET, marking just a 30 minute delay from the initial scheduled start.

Today’s Kansas City Royals at Cleveland Guardians matchup has been delayed due to inclement weather. First pitch was initially scheduled for 1:40 p.m. ET, but rain showers have prevented today’s game from starting on time.

This is the third and final matchup of this series, with the Royals picking up wins in each of the first two games. Kansas City secured a 3-0 victory in the series opener and added to this with an 8-3 win yesterday. Seth Lugo is scheduled to get the start as Kansas City looks to complete the sweep, while Parker Messick will be on the mound for the Guardians- assuming there are no changes due to the weather delay.

Looking at the odds for the matchup, the Guardians enter as -181 favorites and hold +113 odds on the -1.5 run line on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Royals hold +168 odds of getting the outright win, with the run total set at 7.5.
