Hawaii and Stanford open their 2026 seasons Saturday in a Week 0 matchup with several player prop markets worth targeting. Below, we’ll break down the best Hawaii vs. Stanford player props, including the top college football bets to consider before kickoff.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Hawaii vs. Stanford player props

Micah Alejado Over 249.5 Passing Yards

Micah Alejado completed 66.3% of his passes for 3,106 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. He averaged 282.4 passing yards across 11 appearances. Hawaii also asked him to throw 430 times, producing 39.1 attempts per game. That combination of accuracy and volume makes 249.5 an attainable threshold.

Stanford finished last nationally in passing defense during 2025 and allowed roughly 408 total yards per game. New coordinator Kris Richard should introduce greater disguise and pressure frequency. Those changes require time, especially against Hawaii’s run-and-shoot spacing. Alejado’s quick processing can punish communication errors before pressure arrives.

Alejado threw for only 210 yards against Stanford last season, creating a legitimate counterpoint. Hawaii lost possession time badly, while Stanford controlled the football for over 36 minutes. He still produced two passing touchdowns after briefly leaving with an injury scare. Normalized possession volume would have placed him much closer to this number.

Pofele Ashlock’s uncertain availability lowers the projection’s ceiling. He caught 76 passes for 827 yards and eight touchdowns last year. However, his absence would redistribute targets rather than eliminate Hawaii’s passing identity. A road-underdog script should keep Alejado throwing throughout the fourth quarter.

At 7.0 yards per attempt, Alejado needs approximately 36 throws to clear 249.5. He exceeded that workload regularly last season. Stanford’s front may disrupt several possessions, but Hawaii’s tempo creates replacement opportunities. I project 37 attempts, 25 completions, and approximately 280 passing yards.

Best bet: Micah Alejado over 249.5 passing yards

Micah Ford Over 69.5 Rushing Yards

Micah Ford rushed 145 times for 643 yards and four touchdowns across nine appearances last season. His 71.4-yard average already clears this number despite several uneven game scripts. He handled 16.1 carries per appearance and added 119 receiving yards. Stanford enters this opener needing Ford to stabilize a reconstructed offense.

Ford delivered 113 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries against Hawaii last season. Stanford held possession for over 36 minutes and consistently stayed ahead of the chains. That matchup established a clear schematic path. Ford’s downhill style stressed Hawaii’s lighter boxes and limited its pass-rush opportunities.

Hawaii allowed 133.8 rushing yards per game, 4.2 yards per carry, and 19 rushing touchdowns during 2025. Those numbers describe a competent defense with exploitable interior gaps. Ford needs roughly 16 carries at last season’s 4.4-yard average. An 18-to-22-carry workload creates meaningful cushion.

Davis Warren arrives from Michigan after missing the 2025 season. Stanford should protect its new quarterback with early runs, manageable third downs, and play-action concepts. Tavita Pritchard also understands Ford’s value after watching him produce 150-yard performances against Boston College and California.

Game state remains the strongest argument. Stanford sits around a four-point favorite with clean weather and modest wind. That projection supports four quarters of viable rushing volume. Hawaii’s explosive passing attack could force Stanford away from the run, although Ford also handles passing-down work.

I expect Stanford to test Hawaii’s front before expanding Warren’s menu. Ford’s proven workload and prior matchup success outweigh his ordinary per-carry efficiency. My projection lands around 19 carries and 84 yards, with additional touchdown equity near the goal line.

Best bet: Micah Ford over 69.5 rushing yards
