The college football season is finally here! There is a fun slate of games for Week 0, and one of the best ways to get in on the action is the college football player prop market.

College Football Week 0 Player Prop Best Bets
Virginia vs. NC State: Beau Pribula Anytime TD Scorer (-110)
Beau Pribula left Penn State for Missouri before the 2025 season to become the starter there. Things didn’t go great for Pribula in the SEC, so he moved on to take the QB1 job at Virginia this offseason. Pribula is not a very explosive passer and turns the ball over far too often. However, from what he’s shown during his time at both Missouri and Penn State, Pribula is good with his legs. He has proven to be much more trustworthy on the run than using his arm.
Last season, Pribula rushed for six touchdowns in 10 games played. In two seasons at Penn State, he scored 10 rushing touchdowns, despite being the backup quarterback. James Franklin used him as a running quarterback in the red zone when he was backing up Drew Allar. Virginia is loaded with experience on the offensive line, and should protect Pribula well in this game. He will have time to move around in the pocket, which should also lead to him taking off and running when the lanes are there. When in doubt in the red zone, Pribula should protect the football and run one into the end zone himself, rather than forcing a throw.
USC vs. San Jose State: Mark Bowman Anytime TD Scorer (-120)
Mark Bowman is one of the players to watch this Saturday. Bowman is a 5-star freshman tight end out of Mater Dei High School. He graduated from high school early so that he could enroll at USC in the spring and be a part of the offseason program. The 18-year-old is already a massive 6’5, 245 pounds. Despite his age and lack of experience, he is physically ready to step in at the college level and produce right away. Bowman also has great hands and can move like a wide receiver despite his size.
This should be a dominant offensive performance from USC. Jayden Maiava is one of the best quarterbacks in the country, ranking in the top five in the FBS in passing yards and QBR last season. Lincoln Riley will want to give Maiava a chance to mesh with all of his new targets, including Bowman, in this game against the vastly inferior San Jose State. The Spartans are going to have a below-average defense in the Mountain West, meaning they stand no chance against the Maiava and Riley-led Trojans’ offense. Bowman should use his size against these inferior athletes and be a red zone target for Maiava in this one.
Hawaii vs. Stanford: Micah Alejado 2+ Passing Touchdowns (-149)
Micah Alejado had an excellent 2025 season at Hawaii. He started to master the Timmy Chang run-and-shoot offense as the season went on. He should pick up where he left off and reach even higher highs this season. Alejado threw for at least two touchdowns in eight of 11 starts last season. That includes last year’s Week 0 opener against Stanford. The two schools are running back that Week 0 matchup for the second season in a row.
In the 2025 matchup against Stanford, Alejado held his own despite it being just his second career start. Alejado finished that game with 210 passing yards, a couple of passing touchdowns and no interceptions. Alejado only got better as that season went on and should come into this year’s season opener with much more confidence. Micah Alejado should throw for multiple scores in this game, just like he did in the 2025 edition of this matchup.
