A seven-game, 14-team MLB slate is on tap for Thursday. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look on Thursday?

Royals vs. Blue Jays NRFI (-115)
Despite frequent pitching woes in Kansas City this season, Noah Cameron is excelling on the mound. Over eight starts since July 1st, the southpaw has posted a 2.72 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. Interestingly enough, he’s been much better on the road (3.33 ERA) than at home (4.79 ERA) in 2026. Cameron enters Thursday on a seven-game NRFI streak, and he’s poised to make it eight. The Blue Jays are a mess on offense, ranking last in runs per game (3.93) and YRFI rate (22.39%). In addition. Toronto is 29th in the league with a .641 OPS against left-handed pitching.
The Jays will counter with Spencer Arrighetti, acquired midseason from the Astros. Despite a red-hot start, the 26-year-old’s numbers have fallen off a cliff during the past few months. Through 91.2 innings (17 starts), he’s accounted for a 4.73 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 91 strikeouts (9.0 K/9). Still, we don’t need the right-hander to toss a gem; just escape the first inning unscathed. In that regard, Arrighetti has a respectable 76.5% NRFI rate this season. To make things more enticing, he now gets to face a mediocre Royals lineup. Kansas City is averaging just 3.54 runs per game on the road, worst in all of baseball.
Brewers vs. Mets NRFI (-155)
Milwaukee’s terrific campaign has been made possible by elite starting pitching. To be more specific, the otherworldly performance of Jacob Misiorowski. The National League Cy Young frontrunner hasn’t just been good – he’s been borderline unhittable. During 145.0 innings of work (24 starts), he’s recorded a league-leading 1.68 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 216 strikeouts (13.4 K/9). On paper, this Mets lineup doesn’t seem equipped to score many runs tonight. New York’s offense has a 27.07% YRFI rate, eighth-lowest in the majors.
As for the home team, Sean Manaea will get the nod this evening. The 34-year-old is a league-average arm, delivering pedestrian stats all season. His 4.31 ERA and 1.31 WHIP aren’t exactly setting the world on fire. Still, there’s value in a veteran that can eat some innings. More important, Manaea tends to come out firing. He enters today’s matchup on a six-game NRFI streak. The Brewers, while dangerous at the plate, are the exact opposite. Milwaukee batters have compiled a middling 27.82% YRFI rate, 11th-worst in baseball. New York’s experienced arm has what it takes to match the Miz – at least through one inning.
