Jacob Misiorowski, Milwaukee Brewers at New York Mets ($12,000) — Misiorowski has only put up 20+ FPTS in five straight starts. Oh, boo hoo. He has spoiled us because he’s gone for over 30 FPTS 12 times, with a high of 58.6 FPTS on the season. Yes, he’s expensive, but he does have the highest floor/ceiling combo in the game. Through 145 innings, the FIP is 2.14 with an obscene 33.3 K-BB%. He’s allowed only 13 home runs, posting an 86.8-mph average exit velocity and a microscopic 3.8% barrel rate. New York is 10th in strikeouts, 25th in wOBA and 20th in wRC+.

Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays ($6,900) — Cameron has produced double-digit FPTS in five of his last six outings, with three performances over 30 FPTS and a high of 44 FPTS. On the season, he has posted a 3.59 FIP with a 13.7% K-BB%. He’s allowed only 14 home runs in 143.1 innings. Toronto doesn’t strike out much, but it ranks 29th in ISO, 30th in wOBA, and 29th in wRC+ against left-handed pitching. Cameron has also pitched better on the road, with a 3.16 FIP compared to 4.08 at home.

Carter Jensen, Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays ($4,100) — The lefty-hitting catcher for the Royals strikes out a ton (28.9%), but has 17 home runs in 488 plate appearances. The average exit velocity is 90.9 mph, the launch angle is 21 degrees, and the barrel rate is 10.2%. His bat speed sits at a zipping 73.8 mph. Against right-handed pitching, Jensen has hit 14 of his home runs with a .204 ISO. Spencer Arrighetti has posted a 6.29 FIP and a 5.1% K-BB% — while also serving nine of his 13 home runs allowed — against lefties.
Tim Tawa, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs ($2,900) — Small slate, so we’re running it back with Tawa. Normally, I search for possible exploitable pitching matchups. This is not one of those times, as Landen Roupp has been solid with a 3.36 FIP and only five home runs allowed against righties. Roupp owns an elite 86.1-mph average exit velocity and a 4.9% barrel rate. Tawa has reverse splits and has been much better against right-handed pitching, posting a 105 wRC+ and a .188 ISO. He’s slashing .256/.309./.444 against righties. Tawa has produced fantasy goodies in 11 straight contests, with four of those in double digits. He’s relatively cheap as well.

Jac Caglianone, Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays ($5,300) — Yup, small slate and we’re stacking against Arrighetti, who has struggled with lefties. Caglianone has an average exit velocity of 93.2 mph with a 14.4% barrel rate. His big bugaboo is the 7.7-degree launch angle, but the bat speed is a whippy 77.3 mph. Against right-handed pitching, he has recorded a 131 wRC+, a .220 ISO, and 15 of his 22 home runs.

Kyle Isbel, Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays ($2,600) — Isbel hits ninth in the order, and not much stands out. The strikeout rate is 21.7%, the walk rate is only 4.9%, the ISO is .127, and the batting average is .241. His barrel rate is only 3.4%. He has six home runs, 25 runs, 23 RBIs, and six stolen bases in 244 plate appearances. Still, Isbel is riding a five-game hitting streak and has three double-digit FPTS performances during that stretch, with two of those over 20 FPTS. Spencer Arrighetti has a 6.29 FIP and a 5.1% K-BB% against lefties.
