There will be three games on the slate tonight, tipping off at 7 PM EST between the Sun and the Sky. Next, the Wings will host the Fire at 8 PM, while the Mercury will host the Mystics at 10 PM.

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Arike Ogunbowale More Than 16.5 Points
Ogunbowale has cleared this number in four of her last five games, with the lone exception coming Sunday when Dallas needed her for just 22 minutes in a 92-70 blowout of Seattle. Her two previous meetings with Portland produced 22 and 24 points, and there is plenty to like about how she generates offense against this defense. The Fire allow 91.3 PPG, third-most in the WNBA, while opponents are shooting 53.9% on two-pointers and reaching the free-throw line a league-high 24.3 times per game. Ogunbowale has been particularly aggressive at the stripe lately, attempting at least six free throws in each of her four games before Sunday’s abbreviated outing. Dallas can clinch its first playoff berth since 2023 with a win, so this is a spot where Ogunbowale should return to her normal workload in a matchup she has already excelled in twice.
Kahleah Copper Less Than 20.5 Points
Copper’s 38-point eruption against Atlanta jumps off the page, but it is also an aberration, since masks a run in which she had previously scored 19, 18, 15, and 16 in four consecutive games. Washington presents a much different challenge, allowing only 83.1 PPG while holding opponents to 42.8% shooting, and it already limited Copper to 15 points on 4-of-13 shooting in a 95-75 Mystics win earlier this month. That is particularly relevant for a scorer who does most of her damage inside the arc and at the free-throw line rather than relying heavily on the three.
Phoenix will also have Kelsey Plum back after a three-game absence, adding another high-volume scorer to an offense Copper had been asked to carry. With Washington already in the playoffs and still playing for seeding while Phoenix has been eliminated, this looks like a difficult spot for Copper to build off her season-high performance.
Paige Bueckers More Than 20.5 Points
Bueckers enters a potential playoff-clinching game coming off one of her best performances of the season, scoring 32 points in only 26 minutes against Seattle while going a perfect 6-for-6 from three. She has now topped 20.5 in four of her last five, averaging 23.4 PPG over that stretch, and the season-ending loss of Azzi Fudd leaves even more responsibility with Dallas’ most efficient scorer. Portland is a favorable opponent for that expanded role, ranking 14th in defensive rating and allowing 91.3 PPG, including a 53.9% opponent success rate on two-pointers. Bueckers already scored 21 in the July meeting with the Fire, and she has improved to better than 50% shooting from the field this season. There is plenty at stake, too: Dallas clinches a postseason berth with a victory, and another win would give the Wings the most regular-season victories in franchise history.
