President Curtis is approaching the midpoint of its first season, having firmly established its own lore beyond the Rick and Morty connections. The animated spinoff is already one of Adult Swim’s headlining series, given the baked-in familiarity. Still, the sci-fi misadventures have been just as goofy as expected thus far, and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon.

When does President Curtis Season 1 Episode 5 come out?
President Curtis Season 1 Episode 5 will premiere on Adult Swim at 11:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 23. The episode, which is titled David, will have a runtime around 22 minutes. It will be available to stream on HBO Max on Monday, August 24.
As was the case with the past eight seasons of Rick and Morty, President Curtis Season 1 will be 10 episodes long. It won’t be a miniseries, either, since Adult Swim has already renewed the show for Season 2.

President Curtis has quickly established its core cast of characters, introducing plenty of fresh faces to surround Curtis himself – the titular character has had the same voice actor since Rick and Morty Season 2. And while the supporting cast has been firmly stuck in the background, there are some recognizable voices rounding out the group. Kristen Schaal, Adam Pally, John Michael Higgins, Billy Zane and Gillian Jacobs are among the celebrities who have popped up so far, with Jane Lynch slated to show up in Episode 5. There are others expected to voice original characters later in the season, from Sam Richardson to Timothy Simons.
What to expect in President Curtis Season 1 Episode 5
Based on the early preview for Episode 5, Curtis’ status as the president is seemingly up in the air. The shadowy panel running Curtis’ political party wants him to focus on an infrastructure bill and stacking the Supreme Court, all while he prioritizes fighting monsters. After hearing an ominous voice in the bathroom, however, Curtis tells Banks and O’Doyle to prepare for a trip to Camp David – a country retreat for the president just outside of DC. The episode’s synopsis is as follows:
“After butting heads with his own Party under the threat of being replaced, Curtis visits Camp David to undergo a true test of his Presidential prowess. Meanwhile, Banks navigates camp politics.”
