DraftKings WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 8/21/26

By: Bill Yin

There will be three games tonight in the W, tipping off at 7:30 PM EST between the Lynx and Mystics. The Sky will host the Valkyries at the same time, while the Tempo will host the Fire at 10 PM EST.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Kayla McBride More Than 17.5 Points

Napheesa Collierโ€™s scheduled rest should push more of Minnesotaโ€™s scoring responsibility toward McBride, who is already averaging a career-high 18.3 PPG. McBride has produced 22.0 PPG over her last five appearances, clearing this line three times, and she has shot at least 40% from beyond the arc in five straight games.

The most compelling split is her 27.7 PPG across her last seven games without Collier, including 24 and 33-point performances in the two most recent. Washington has limited opponents to 33.2% shooting from three, but McBride’s volume should carry her across the finish line tonight. With Olivia Miles probable to play and Washington battling to retain its playoff position, McBride should have both the shot creation around her and the minutes needed to reach 18.

Carla Leite More Than 17.5 Points

Leite enters this matchup averaging 15.7 PPG, but her scoring outlook is particularly appealing against a Toronto defense allowing a league-high 94.3 points per game. She delivered 27 points and 11 assists in her last meeting with the Tempo, repeatedly getting into the lane and making 15 of 17 free throws in Portlandโ€™s 97-83 victory.

Leite returned from her knee issue with 14 points against Seattle before scoring 21 in Sundayโ€™s comeback win over Phoenix, giving her an encouraging last two games. Toronto has lost 12 straight and owns the leagueโ€™s lowest-rated defense, leaving Leite with opportunities as both a transition scorer and pick-and-roll attacker. Portland remains outside the playoff field and cannot afford to waste a matchup against an eliminated opponent, so its lead guard should retain a featured role throughout the game.

Courtney Williams More Than 14.5 Points

Williams is averaging 14.4 PPG this season, but that baseline rises to 15.7 across her last seven games without Collier. She scored 15 and 21 points in the two most recent games from that split, reflecting the additional shooting responsibility she assumes when Minnesotaโ€™s leading scorer is unavailable.

Washington held Williams to 13 and five points in two earlier meetings, but the Lynx now have a clearer reason to shift more half-court possessions toward their veteran guards. Williamsโ€™ pull-up and midrange game also gives her a scoring path that does not depend on beating Washingtonโ€™s disciplined perimeter defense from three or challenging Shakira Austin directly at the rim.
