New Hampshire Motor Speedway earned its nickname “the Magic Mile” the hard way — a flat, paperclip-shaped mile that punishes mistakes and rewards patience. There’s no banking to hide behind here. Handling, track position, and tire management decide the Dollar Tree 301 more than raw horsepower ever will.

NASCAR Best Bets for the Dollar Tree 301

Race Winner — Christopher Bell +500

Are you committed? Have you been doubling down on the Christopher Bell wager? It’s a long season. After seven runner-up finishes this season, the bankroll is getting light. It’s either cut ties or ride the bankroll to bankruptcy.

There is a third option. Don’t quit Christopher Bell yet. This is not the part of the season to bail. The short-track summer swing is his stronghold. It’s hard to determine Bell’s best track — Iowa, Richmond, or New Hampshire. The paperclip-shaped one-mile New England flat track might be Bell’s best. He’s won two of the last four races at the Magic Mile.

Race Winner — Joey Logano +600

If not Toyota, then the Team Penske Fords are the pick to win. The long shots have no shot. Even the Hendrick Chevy appears to be running for a participation ribbon this weekend. Only JGR, 23XI Racing, and Team Penske are competing for the New Hampshire trophy — a live lobster. Ryan Blaney put the lobster in his trophy case last season. It wasn’t Team Penske’s first crustacean championship. It won’t be their last. Logano earned a top-5 finish at the short, flat track last season and was runner-up in 2023.

No driver is hotter than Logano. He was an afterthought a month ago. After a North Wilkesboro and Iowa win, he’s a contender again. The three-time Cup Series Champion has done this before. He always does this. Never write him out. He is lucky, but more importantly, he’s fast. Better than that, he has incredible speed when the track goes flat and tight.
