Ilja Dragunov is reportedly leaving WWE.
PWInsider first reported Thursday that Dragunov is exiting WWE, with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful subsequently confirming and crediting the report.

In another indication that Dragunov’s WWE run has come to an end, WWE has moved Dragunov to the Alumni section of its official website. Dragunov now appears alongside other former WWE Superstars on the company’s Alumni roster.
Dragunov has been absent from WWE television for several months. His most recent televised match came on the April 17 episode of SmackDown, when he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal ahead of WrestleMania 42.
The reported departure would bring an end to Dragunov’s WWE run after he joined the company in 2019. He first made his mark in NXT UK, where he ended Gunther’s historic NXT UK Championship reign, before later becoming NXT Champion and moving to WWE’s main roster in 2024.
After missing nearly a year due to a torn ACL, Dragunov returned to WWE television in October 2025 and defeated Sami Zayn to capture the United States Championship. He later lost the championship to Carmelo Hayes in December.
WWE has not issued a public statement regarding Dragunov’s departure as of this writing.
