Mirra Andreeva and Marta Kostyuk have been two of the best players in the world this year. The two will face off for a fourth time in 2026 here in the Round of 16 at the Cincinnati Open.

Here is my pick, prediction and best bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s Round of 16 match between Marta Kostyuk and Mirra Andreeva.

Marta Kostyuk vs. Mirra Andreeva Preview

Mirra Andreeva Preview

It has been a breakout year for Mirra Andreeva. The 19-year-old had already proven she had a chance to be one of the next big stars in the sport, but securing her first major title at Roland-Garros earlier this summer proved that she already is that star. Andreeva has won three titles this year, including her first major title, made another WTA 1000 final, and that is just in singles. In doubles, she has continued to be one of the best players in the world, adding a WTA 1000 title there as well. Andreeva should be one of the great players in the sport over the next decade, and would love to finish this breakout season on a strong note.

Marta Kostyuk Preview

This has also been a breakout year for Marta Kostyuk. Kostyuk wasn’t the teenage star destined for greatness that Andreeva was and is. She has been grinding the past few years to make a living in professional tennis, finding much more success in doubles than singles. That is until her breakout 2026 season. Kostyuk went on a remarkable run during the clay season, making the Roland-Garros semi-finals and winning her first career WTA 1000 title in Madrid. She followed that up with another major semi-final run at Wimbledon and is looking to keep it rolling heading into the US Open.

Marta Kostyuk vs. Mirra Andreeva Pick, Best Bet

These two players have already faced off three times in 2026. Kostyuk defeated Andreeva in Brisbane to start the year, their only match on hardcourt before this one. Kostyuk defeated Andreeva again on a massive stage in the Madrid Open final. However, Andreeva finally got her revenge in the French Open semi-finals, where she went on to win her first career major title. While Andreeva played masterfully at Roland-Garros to win that most recent meeting, Kostyuk won in two sets in each of the prior two matches, including the one on hardcourt.

Both of these players are in great form, and both play better on alternative surfaces than they do on hard. If one player doesn’t bring their best stuff, the other will be able to take advantage of it. This match is virtually a toss-up and will go to the player that makes fewer mistakes. So, I will happily back Kostyuk as an underdog. She won their only career meeting on hardcourt and has the value at +111 on the Moneyline.

Best Bet: Marta Kostyuk ML (+111)
