Kaik Brito is hoping that the second time’s a charm in his return to Dana White’s Contender Series. The Brazilian welterweight fell short in his Season 7 debut in 2023, dropping a majority decision to Oban Elliott.
Brito, 29, has been struggling for consistency since his first professional loss in 2017. Still, he wields fight-ending power and circles back to the APEX after capturing 170-pound gold in Oktagon MMA — one of Europe’s fastest-rising promotions. In February, he flattened defending champ Ronald Paradeiser with a spinning backfist to preserve his 100 percent finish rate.
Fazil vs. Brito Pick, Best Bet
There’s a chance that Tuesday’s main event between exciting stoppage artists produces a pair of UFC contracts. But although Fazil is coming off a statement performance on a global stage, Brito returns to DWCS with better wins against better opponents.
