SP Dylan Cease | Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees ($10,800)
He’s the most expensive name on the board for a reason. Toronto right-hander Dylan Cease finds himself in a neck-and-neck race with New York’s Cam Schlittler for the American League Cy Young Award, and he’ll be eager to show out in Sunday’s series finale against the AL East rival.
Cease, 30, enters with a sensational 2.40 ERA and a near-identical 2.41 FIP — both top-four marks in baseball — across 22 starts (131.1 IP) in 2026. He paces the AL with a 2.73 xERA and 191 strikeouts. The veteran arm also ranks in the top five percent of pitchers in xBA, average exit velocity, whiff rate, and strikeout rate.
Although Cease struggled in his first meeting with the Yankees on May 19, he’ll face a much weaker lineup in the rematch. Since June 25, the only offense worse than Toronto’s has been New York. Playing without Aaron Judge and several other key contributors, the Yankees sit dead last in MLB in batting average, on-base percentage, wOBA, wRC+, and strikeout rate during that stretch.
1B Matt Olson | Atlanta Braves vs. Arizona Diamondbacks ($5,400)
Matt Olson has tailored another outstanding campaign for the Braves in 2026 — and there are no signs of him slowing down anytime soon. The veteran first baseman, 32, has clobbered an MLB-best 10 home runs since the All-Star break, moving him into a tie with Junior Caminero for the third-most bombs this season (35).
Olson heads into Sunday’s series finale against the Diamondbacks with a .920 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season, ninth-highest in baseball. And while Arizona’s Michael Soroka has posted an impressive 2.92 ERA in 16 starts (86.1 IP) this year, his advanced metrics — a bloated 4.17 xERA and a meager 38.3 percent ground-ball rate — suggest overperformance. Perennial All-Stars like Olson tend to bring a pitcher’s underlying data to the surface, and he’s gone 1-for-4 with a double and a walk in past meetings with Soroka.
OF George Springer | Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees ($3,800)
As it turns out, we’re stacking against the Yankees. George Springer has failed to match his production from a resurgent 2025, though he always seems to turn it on when he’s playing New York. The veteran outfielder, 36, owns a .261 average and an .808 OPS with 18 home runs in his career against the Bronx Bombers.
Facing the Yankees in 2026, Springer has gone 8-for-33 (.242) with an .857 OPS and three home runs — his most homers against any team this season. Two of them have come off Sunday’s starter, Ryan Weathers; Springer is 3-for-5 (.600) with a walk and three RBIs in the matchup.
That trend will likely continue. The Yankee southpaw’s 3.69 ERA through 23 starts (126.2 IP) is underscored by a 4.26 xERA and an alarming amount of loud contact. Weathers heads into Sunday allowing the 10th-most home runs per nine innings (1.28) in MLB.
