The 2026 FA Community Shield takes place on Sunday as Premier League winners Arsenal take on the FA Cup winners Man City.
Arsenal are slight +145 favorites on the moneyline for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a draw available at +240. Man City’s moneyline is set at +155.
Arsenal vs. Man City Prediction, Pick
These two teams have been battling it out for the last few seasons for silverware, and they meet again for another trophy on Sunday.
The big difference here is that Man City will be playing their first competitive match without legendary manager Pep Guardiola, as he has left the club ahead of this season. Former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca will be on the touchline for the Citizens. The Citizens also lost Bernardo Silva to Real Madrid, but added Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest. The last domino to potentially fall this transfer window is Rodri. He’s unlikely to play in this game regardless of his transfer status due to a back injury, but he has been linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer. Regardless, Man City will not have Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva and Rodri for this game. That’s quite a new-look team compared to what we’re used to seeing in sky blue.
For Arsenal, it’s much of the same as what we saw last season. Leandro Trossard departed and was replaced by Christos Tzolis. They made a big addition in the midfield with Bruno Guimarães arriving from Newcastle. Aside from that, it’s essentially the same team we saw lose the Champions League final to PSG.
Man City have won two of the last three contests between these teams, but the change at manager here is unpredictable. We know what Arsenal are and how they will play, and I trust that more. The Gunners should win this one inside of the 90 minutes ahead of their Premier League defense.
