- Giants SP Landen Roupp ($7,500) vs. Rockies
- Yankees SS George Lombard Jr. ($3,100) vs. Blue Jays
- Royals OF Isaac Collins ($3,000) vs. Angels

SP Landen Roupp, San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies, $7,500
Roupp began August with an underwhelming outing in San Diego, but he bounced back with 5.1 innings of one-run ball against the Tigers this past weekend. The right-hander certainly has some control issues — as evidenced by a 10.9% walk rate — but in general, I think Roupp’s been undervalued in DFS all season long. Across 123.2 innings of work, Roupp owns identical marks in xERA and FIP at 3.52. He’s also struck out 123 batters in 2026, which is juuuuust under a batter per inning. The result? Roupp’s managed 20-plus FPTS in three of his last six starts. That’s a decent ceiling with a price tag below $8,000.
Matchup is obviously key here, as well. The Rockies aren’t the abomination they’ve been in recent seasons when having to hit away from Coors Field, but they are still the Rockies. Overall, Colorado’s 91 wRC+ is tied with Toronto for the second-worst mark in the league.
SS George Lombard Jr., New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays, $3,100
It would be hard to ask for a better start to an MLB career than what we’ve seen from Lombard. In 32 plate appearances with the Yankees, the 21-year-old has a pair of home runs and a 134 wRC+. New York isn’t exactly hiding the rookie phenom, either. Lombard hit fifth in the club’s lineup on Thursday versus Seattle.
Now, Lombard will get his first look at Shane Bieber ($6,700). The former Cy Young Award winner has looked a little better in a handful of his recent starts, but for 2026 as a whole, Bieber is in possession of a first percentile xERA (7.24) and a first percentile opponent expected batting average (.302). It’s also been right-handed bats like Lombard doing a majority of the damage, as RHBs have combined to slash .349/.391/.535 off Bieber with a .402 wOBA.
OF Isaac Collins, Kansas City Royals at Los Angeles Angels, $3,000
Remember Isaac Collins?
The man got second-place NL Rookie of the Year votes last season, and now he’s basically a forgotten man in Kansas City. Still, there’s a couple reasons to be optimistic about Collins’ DFS value on Friday evening — aside from his microscopic price tag. First and foremost, the switch-hitting outfielder has certainly been at his best as an LHB in 2026. To wit, Collins sports a 112 wRC+ against RHPs in comparison to his awful 59 wRC+ versus southpaws.
Secondly, Collins and the rest of the Royals will get to face Grayson Rodriguez ($5,700). Its not gone well for the former top prospect in Anaheim. You really need not look further than a ghastly 7.20 ERA, but a brief glance under the hood reveals a first percentile opponent hard hit rate (49.7%) and a seventh percentile opponent barrel rate (11.0%). Left-handed batters have also combined for a .403 wOBA off Rodriguez in his 12 starts. Woof.
