Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.

Here are my top three home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Friday’s full slate: Jonathan Aranda, Jac Caglianone and Tyler Soderstrom.

Let’s break them down.

Best MLB Home Run Bets Today

Best MLB Home Run Bets TodayOddsWhy I Like the Pick
Jonathan Aranda+524Aranda is one of the best platoon bats in the business. Against RHPs this season, Aranda is slashing .299/.384/.486 with a 143 wRC+ and a respectable .186 ISO. He’ll get the chance to add to those numbers on Friday in a matchup with Chris Bassitt. The veteran has surrendered 1.65 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs with a .328 average and a .407 wOBA.
Jac Caglianone+242In his 44 plate appearances in the month, Caglianone is slashing .409/.422/.733 with four home runs and a 229 wRC+. It’s the kind of thing a guy with 98th percentile bat speed (77.4) and a 98th percentile hard hit rate (55.1%) can accomplish. Meanwhile, Grayson Rodriguez owns a first percentile opponent hard hit rate (49.7%) and a seventh percentile opponent barrel rate (11.0%).
Tyler Soderstrom+334Soderstrom has been red-hot since the All-Star break, with five home runs and a .247 ISO in his 101 plate appearances. However, the main draw here is location. Tonight’s contest between the A’s and the Rangers will be played in Sacramento. According to Baseball Savant’s park factors, no field has been easier to hit a home run at in 2026 than Sutter Health Park.

In-depth analysis below.

Top MLB Home Run Props Today

Jonathan Aranda 1+ Home Run (+524)

Aranda is a better overall hitter than he is a power threat, as evidenced by the one long ball he’s managed since July 17, but the All-Star has still set a new career-high with 15 home runs in 2026. Let’s also not forget that Aranda is one of the best platoon bats in the business. Against RHPs this season, Aranda is slashing .299/.384/.486 with a 143 wRC+ and a respectable .186 ISO. He’ll get the chance to add to those numbers on Friday in a matchup with Chris Bassitt. The first red flag with Bassitt is that he’s returning from a two-month stint on the IL. The second red flag is that prior to his ailment, Bassitt was surrendering 1.65 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs with a .328 average and a .407 wOBA within the split. That seems like an issue.

Jac Caglianone 1+ Home Run (+242)

Caglianone is on quite the heater to begin August. In his 44 plate appearances in the month, the former sixth-overall pick is slashing .409/.422/.733 with four home runs, a .503 wOBA and a 229 wRC+. Don’t get me wrong, it’s surely a small sample, but it’s the kind of thing a guy with 98th percentile bat speed (77.4) and a 98th percentile hard hit rate (55.1%) can accomplish. Meanwhile, its not gone well for Grayson Rodriguez in Anaheim. You really need not look further than a ghastly 7.20 ERA, but a brief glance under the hood reveals a first percentile opponent hard hit rate (49.7%) and a seventh percentile opponent barrel rate (11.0%). Left-handed batters have combined for a .403 wOBA off Rodriguez in his 12 starts in 2026, and I believe Caglianone will only make matters worse on Friday.

Tyler Soderstrom 1+ Home Run (+334)

This Athletics lineup is decimated by injury, but Soderstrom remains as a potent power bat. The converted backstop has been red-hot since the All-Star break, too, with five home runs and a .247 ISO in his 101 plate appearances. However, the main draw here, as it is with real estate, is location. Tonight’s contest between the A’s and the Rangers will be played in Sacramento. According to Baseball Savant’s park factors, no field has been easier to hit a home run at in 2026 than Sutter Health Park. That’s unfortunate news for Kumar Rocker. It’s also not great for the RHP that he’s surrendered 1.58 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs this season.
