Sabrina Ionescu Under 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (-147)
While Ionescu is in a great spot vs. the Sparks, she has been ice cold from deep recently and her hitting three-plus treys tonight feels unlikely, regardless of the matchup.
Los Angeles is allowing the second-most made three-pointers per game this season (9.6) and Ionescu went 5-of-9 from deep when she faced the Sparks last month, but her shooting form is far worse nowadays, as she has hit just one trey in three straight games entering tonight. During ths span, Ionescu is 3-of-17 from beyond the arc, which is a pitiful 17.6%. Truthfully, her line should be 1.5 made treys right now, and backing her for under 2.5 is an easy call.
Leila Lacan Under 12.5 Points (-133)
This line is simply too high for Lacan tonight vs. the Dream. The guard is averaging 12.5 PPG and she has fallen short of 12.5 points in 15-of-22 games this season. Included in this is an 11-point showing vs. Atlanta on June 2.
The Dream are a tough matchup, ranking fourth in defensive rating, and the Sun’s 81.5-point implied team total on DraftKings Sportsbook for this matchup is the lowest of the six WNBA teams in action Thursday. Britney Griner (knee) is questionable for Connecticut, but even if she sits, Leila is still likely bound for a modest scoring performance. In the nine games Lacan has played without Griner this season, she is averaging 11.5 PPG.
Jewell Loyd Under 7.5 Points (-116)
This scoring line being this high for Loyd doesn’t make much sense. Operating as a bench player for the Aces in her 10th season, Loyd is averaging a career-low 7.8 points in 27 minutes per game while shooting 36% from the field. The 32-year-old has been doing little scoring recently, falling short of 7.5 points in five of her last seven, most recently with a four-point showing vs. the Mystics on Tuesday, who she will be facing again tonight.
Seeing Loyd provide minimal offense vs. Washington was no surprise and it should happen again in tonight’s rematch. The Mystics are one of the most challenging matchups in the league, as they rank second in defensive rating and second-to-last in pace.
