Napheesa Collier U 20.5 Points (-128)
Collier has been great on both ends of the floor since making her season debut last month, but playing alongside Olivia Miles has slightly hurt Collier’s role. The forward is averaging 19 PPG with a 26.7% usage rate this season, compared to 22.9 PPG with a 28.6% usage rate last season.
Collier has fallen short of 20.5 points in 4-of-7 games and while she is in a prime spot tonight vs. the Fire, who rank second-to-last in defensive rating, this could be a lopsided affair, which would likely result in Collier losing a few minutes of work. The Lynx are a 13.5-point favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook for this tilt and they are 2-0 vs. Portland this season, including a 33-point rout in June. All in all, 20.5 points is slightly too high of a line for Collier tonight and she should come up short of this number.
Jacy Sheldon U 7.5 Points (-133)
Sheldon may start for the third straight game tonight with Sydney Taylor (groin) remaining out, but that doesn’t guarantee Sheldon a big workload. Facing the Storm on Monday, Sheldon only logged 19 minutes and saw a 12.7% usage rate, resulting in just five points on 2-of-5 shooting. DiJonai Carrington stole a ton of work from Sheldon, with the former receiving 27 minutes off the bench and posting a career-high 26 points.
Coming off this outburst, Carrington very easily could see more action than Sheldon again tonight and to make matters worse, she is in a terrible spot vs. the Valkyries, who rank first in defensive rating and dead last in pace. Sheldon should struggle in this matchup and provide minimal offense. In 11 of her last 15, Sheldon has stayed under 7.5 points.
Gabby Williams U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-122)
Williams is facing a Sky club she hit three treys against back in May, but things are different this time around. Williams logged 31 minutes that night, but nowadays, she is handling a much smaller role. After missing the first game following the All-Star break due to reconditioning issues, Williams hasn’t seen more than 21 minutes in four straight and she has gone without a make from deep in two of these games.
Williams should continue to see only around 20 minutes tonight and the Sky are great at defending outside shooters, making her a compelling bet for under 1.5 made three-pointers. This season, Chicago is allowing the fewest made three-pointers per game (7.6) on the second-lowest percentage in the WNBA (31.9%).
