It was only two and a half months ago that Paris Saint-Germain reminded the soccer world of its place at the apex by winning its second consecutive Champions League trophy, and less than a month since Spain lifted the World Cup for the second time in its history.
But soccer does not stop; the 2026/27 season will kick off at 3 p.m. ET (9 p.m. local) in Salzburg, Austria, when PSG faces off against Europa League title-holders Aston Villa in the Super Cup.
