We’ve got a 12-game featured MLB DFS slate on DraftKings tonight, and it’s headlined by a pair of Cy Young hopefuls taking the mound in Cristopher Sanchez ($10,700) and Dylan Cease ($10,500).
But guess what? This is a values article. So it’s the last you’re going to hear about that high-priced duo.

SP Patrick Sandoval, Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays, $6,900
I was torn between backing Sandoval and Cody Bradford ($7,300) in this space, two pitchers who missed all of 2025 due to injury. However, Sandoval is a little cheaper and a little farther along in his return, with Bradford only throwing 70 pitches in his first appearance of 2026 last week. That matters.
Sandoval’s been pretty good, too. In the five starts he’s made as a member of the Red Sox, the left-hander owns a 3.38 ERA and he’s struck out 25 opposing hitters in 24.0 innings. One of those outings was even against this same Toronto team, with Sandoval pitching 4.2 scoreless frames back on July 24. That result probably shouldn’t be that hard to re-create. The Jays have struggled to score runs all season long, culminating in a league-worst .294 expected wOBA. That’s not just sitting dead-last, either. That’s the lone mark in. MLB below .300. They’re in a class all their own.
OF Garrett Mitchell, Milwaukee Brewers at San Diego Padres, $4,100
I really want to get some exposure to the Brewers on Tuesday night — specifically the team’s left-handed bats. Mitchell’s probably the cheapest you should be willing to go, though David Hamilton ($3,400) does have some stolen base potential at the bottom of the order. Mitchell’s not going to wow you with his counting stats, but the former first-round pick has 15/15 potential, and he’s managed a 116 wRC+ off of right-handed pitching so far in 2026.
Tonight’s RHP? The struggling Walker Buehler ($6,500). The veteran owns an 8.31 ERA since the beginning of July. It’s a span where Buehler is also allowing opposing LHBs to hit 2.25 home runs per nine with a .620 slugging percentage. It’s safe to say he’s not in a groove at the moment.
OF Lars Nootbar, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies, $3,400
Nootbar isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire since being traded to the Diamondbacks at the deadline, but the veteran is consistently finding himself in the five-spot in the club’s batting order against RHPs, right behind Ketel Marte ($4,900). That’s not a bad place to be, especially on a night where Arizona has one of the highest implied team totals on the slate.
That’s because Tomoyuki Sugano ($5,500) will be toeing the rubber for the Rockies. The NPB import comes into this outing in possession of first percentile marks in xERA (7.16), opponent expected batting average (.313) and opponent barrel rate (13.8%). According to the stats, Sugano is about the worst pitcher who is consistently taking the ball every five days. Look for Nootbar to take advantage of an extremely advantageous opposite-hand matchup.
