There will be three games on the slate tonight, tipping off with the Liberty visiting the Fever at 7:30 PM EST. The Sparks will host the Mercury at 10 PM, while the Mystics will visit the Aces at the same time.

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
A’ja Wilson More Than 24.5 Points
Wilson leads the league with a robust 26.3 PPG, and Washington already failed to contain her in the first meeting. She poured in 38 points on July 22, shooting 12-of-16 from the field and 12-of-13 from the free-throw line. The Mystics have allowed just 82.6 PPG, second-fewest in the WNBA, so this isn’t necessarily a soft matchup as much as a bet on Wilson being matchup-proof at this point.
She has continued her dominant season since the All-Star break, averaging a double double with 27.0 PPG, 10.5 RPG, and 3.7 APG over that stretch. Wilson also sat out Sunday’s loss to New York for rest after Las Vegas’ difficult travel schedule, giving her some extra recovery time before needing 25 points to clear this number.
Alyssa Thomas More Than 9.5 Assists
Thomas is averaging 8.2 APG this season, so we need an above-average passing night, but Los Angeles has repeatedly brought that out of her. She recorded 12 assists against the Sparks on June 13 before exploding for 15 in their July 22 matchup, giving her consecutive double-digit assist performances against this defense. Los Angeles has allowed 22.6 opponent APG this season, second-most in the WNBA, which lines up nicely with the way Thomas controls Phoenix’s half-court offense.
It has been another terrific all-around season for Thomas at 14.8 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 8.2 APG, and she recently posted a huge triple double with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists against Chicago. Kelsey Plum is also out tonight with a lower-left leg injury, so Thomas’ established role as Phoenix’s primary facilitator remains the centerpiece of this offense.
Nneka Ogwumike More Than 8.5 Rebounds
Ogwumike’s 8.5-rebound line is almost exactly in line with her 8.8 RPG average, but Phoenix has been an especially productive matchup for her. She grabbed 15 rebounds against the Mercury on June 13 and another 13 on July 22, clearing this number comfortably in each of their last two meetings. Phoenix has allowed 26.5 defensive rebounds per game to opponents, second-most in the WNBA, and that number has jumped to a league-high 30.7 over its last three games. Phoenix’s missed shots have recently created a lot of defensive rebounding opportunities for its opponents, giving Ogwumike a clean path to opportunities on the glass.
