Natasha Cloud O 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)
Cloud has many things working in her favor tonight. She is facing a Storm defense that ranks 11th in rating and the Sky are understaffed, leaving Cloud with an increased role. Both Sydney Taylor (groin) and Skylar Diggins (knee) will be out for the third straight game. With them sidelined, Cloud has posted 15 points, nine assists and five rebounds vs. the Sparks, and 17 points, four assists and two rebounds vs. the Fever.
With both Taylor and Diggins off the floor this season, Cloud’s usage rises 4.5 percentage points to 21.4% and her assist rate skyrockets 10.9 percentage points to 37.3%. Cloud should stuff the stat sheet as one of the Sky’s featured players tonight and 22.5 PRA is just too low of a line for her expected role.
Natisha Hiedeman U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+135)
Hiedeman has been a shell of herself recently. Despite seeing at least 29 minutes in each game, Hiedeman has scored just two points in back-to-back starts and she went 0-2 on three-pointers in both contests. Now, Hiedeman is going against a Sky defense that is limiting its opponents to the fewest made three-pointers per game (7.6) on the lowest percentage in the league this season (31.7%).
Hiedeman faced Chicago last month and she went 0-5 from deep that night en route to just five points. Hiedeman is averaging 2.0 made treys per game this season, but she is shooting just 34% from beyond the arc and her failing to make multiple three-pointers tonight is a strong possibility.
Marina Mabrey U 17.5 Points (-105)
Mabrey is having a career-best season, averaging 20.2 PPG, but she has been dealing with a neck injury that has hurt her play significantly. After missing one game with the injury, Mabrey has played in the last two, but she has scored just 12 points vs. the Valkyries and nine points vs. the Fire in these starts. Golden State is the WNBA’s best defense, so the first performance was excusable, but Portland ranks third-to-last in defensive rating, so the second outing was alarming and is clear evidence that she isn’t fully healthy right now.
Mabrey is listed as probable tonight and will play, but she is facing a Dream defense that ranks fourth in rating. Mabrey has scored nine, 23 and 26 points in her three matchups vs. Atlanta this season, but with the injury concerns, 17.5 points is just too high of a bar for her right now.
