Major League Baseball has a 10-game MLB DFS slate on DraftKings this Monday to start the week off with plenty of fantasy baseball goodness. With 20 teams on the scoreboard and in the player pool, there are plenty of good matchups to consider on the mound and at the plate. As you look through the options and matchups in play, let’s spotlight a few of the top offensive lineups to build around in Monday night’s MLB DFS Stacks.
- Arizona Diamondbacks: The Dbacks continue their big homestand at Chase Field against righty Gabriel Hughes, who has allowed six runs on 10 hits in 11 road innings for a 4.91 road ERA this season and has been hittable by lefties.
- Athletics: The A’s are home at hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park against Freddy Peralta, who gave up seven runs in his Rays debut and has allowed 40 total runs in his last eight starts, with nine homers against him and an 8.91 ERA and 5.94 FIP.
- Boston Red Sox: The surging Sox are headed north of the border looking to bounce back, and they have a favorable matchup against Jameson Taillon, who has allowed 3+ runs in three straight starts and six of his last eight, while pitching to an 8.65 ERA and 8,04 FIP over that stretch.
Before we break down all the selections for these contests, let’s define exactly what we’re searching for. An ideal target for MLB DFS stacks is a team well-positioned to score plenty of runs based on its matchup and ballpark. “Stacking” is the strategy of adding multiple players from the same MLB lineup to your roster to boost each other’s production.
Ideally, MLB DFS stacks focus on players who are either back-to-back or from the same part of the lineup to allow positive correlation. Since most run-scoring plays produce fantasy points for multiple players, stacking a high-scoring team can carry your entry to the top of the leaderboard. The key to MLB DFS stacks paying off is finding the perfect matchup to attack, so let’s take a deeper look at the top spots.

1. Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks took two of three games from the Dodgers over the weekend and almost secured a sweep if not for an extra-inning loss on Saturday. They scored 29 runs in the first seven games of their homestand, going 4-3 against the Padres and Dodgers. They’ll play their third straight divisional series as they host the lowly Rockies at Chase Field on Monday night. The Rockies will start Gabriel Hughes ($6,500), who has a 4.24 ERA in his six games this season and has given up six runs on 10 hits in 11 road innings. He allowed eight runs in his last two starts against the Padres and Rays and should be a favorable matchup for the Snakes, especially the lefties, who have hit .269 with a .304 wOBA against Hughes this season.
Carroll is the anchor for any Dbacks stack, and the dual-threat lefty has averaged 15.1 FPTS per game in his seven contests against the Rockies this season. He has also averaged 9.3 FPTS at home, where he has 10 of his 16 homers this season. Moreno is a righty but still makes sense as a part of the stack since he is hitting in the heart of the order and fills a shallow positional need at catcher. He has at least 5 FPTS in five straight games and has averaged 8.1 FPTS over his last 10 games and 10.2 FPTS against Colorado this year.
Switch-hitter Gerardo Perdomo will face Hughes from the left side and has started to find his form lately. He hit safely in each game in the Dodgers series, going 4-for-11 with two triples and an average of 10.7 FPTS per contest. He’s averaging 9.3 FPTS over his last 10 games. The Diamondbacks made a surprising addition at the trade deadline by acquiring Lars Nootbaar, who has been a regular in their lineup before getting Sunday off. He has reached base safely in each of his games for Arizona and brings dual-threat potential at his very affordable salary on Monday night on the strong side of the splits vs. Hughes.
2. Athletics

The A’s are home at Sutter Health Park after taking two of three games over the weekend from the red-hot Red Sox. They’ll face another AL East elite team as they host the Rays to start the week, but they get a favorable spot for offense on Monday as they take on trade deadline acquisition Freddy Peralta ($6,700). While Peralta has plenty of upside if the Rays can help him figure it out, he has been a mess lately, including in his Rays debut. He gave up seven runs on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings against the Rockies, although that was at Coors Field. It continues a bad trend for Peralta, though, who has allowed 40 total runs in his last eight starts, with nine homers against him and an 8.91 ERA and 5.94 FIP.
Lefties have hit 15 of the 19 homers against Peralta this season and have a .363 wOBA against him, which is why Soderstrom is a great place to start the A’s stack. The 24-year-old may not be Nick Kurtz, but he does have 19 homers and a .351 wOBA on the season, and he had 9+ FPTS in five of his last six games, including three straight games with double-digit FPTS at Fenway. He has averaged 8.2 FPTS per game over his last 10 contests and 8.9 FPTS at home this season.
Catcher Jonah Heim has filled in well for Shea Langeliers, producing exactly 7 FPTS in four of his last five games, and the switch-hitter will face Peralta from the left side. Henry Bolte and Tommy White are both young players getting the chance to play every day for the A’s and bring a lot of value potential. Bolte hit leadoff in each of his last four games, and if he’s in that spot going forward, he brings a lot of speed and run production potential from the top of a lineup that should score plenty of runs at home.
3. Boston Red Sox

Despite losing two of three over the weekend, the Red Sox are still rolling and should be set to get back on track as they face Jameson Taillon ($5,800) and the Blue Jays in Toronto. Taillon was DFA’d by the Cubs and acquired by the Blue Jays in exchange for cash or a player to be named later. He made his Blue Jays debut last Wednesday and gave up three runs on six hits in four innings. He is 0-4 in his last eight starts with an 8.65 ERA and 8.04 FIP. He has allowed 15 homers in those eight outings with a 17.4% barrel rate against him.
With Willson Contreras ($5,300) battling illness and at less than 100%, the rest of the lineup has stepped up. Abreu had at least 11 FPTS in five of his last six games while averaging 18.7 FPTS per game over that stretch. Rafaela has 11+ FPTS in seven of his last 10 as well, averaging 13.6 FPTS during that successful stretch.
After Abreu and Rafaeala anchor this option in Monday’s MLB DFS Stacks from the outfield, the other three options are value infielders. I highlighted Nick Sogard from the leadoff spot in my top value plays, and both Durbin and Monasterio have been excellent during the team’s recent surge. Durbin has averaged 11 FPTS over his last 10 games, while Monasterio posted five straight games of double-digit FPTS before going 0-for-4 on Sunday. This trio of affordable infielders can be combined with the outfielders from the Sox or other big-name outfielders as you put together your lineups for Monday night.
