MLB Picks: Best Strikeout Prop Bets for Monday 8/10/26

By: Sam Connon

There are a handful of aces taking the mound Monday, from Mets righty Christian Scott to Twins deadline addition Dean Kremer and Cardinals swingman Hunter Dobbins. Will Scott stay hot against the Braves? How will Kremer look against his former team? Can Dobbins continue to thrive out of St. Louis’ rotation? Here is our full breakdown of where we think each starting pitcher will wind up in the strikeout column.

Best MLB Strikeout Prop Bets Today (August 10, 2026)

  • Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets: Mets RHP Christian Scott 6+ strikeouts: Scott has posted at least 6 K in 7 of his last 8 starts entering his showdown with an ATL lineup that just let NYY starters reach that mark in all 3 games this past weekend.
  • Minnesota Twins vs. Baltimore Orioles: Twins RHP Dean Kremer under 5.5 strikeouts: Kremer has finished under 5.5 K in all 6 of his starts since returning from the IL in July, plus BAL’s familiarity with the righty could make it tough for him to break out of that slump..
  • St. Louis Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Phillies Cardinals RHP Hunter Dobbins 4+ strikeouts: Dobbins is a perfect 8-for-8 this season when it comes to reaching 4+ K, whether he has started or come out of the bullpen.

MLB Strikeout Prop Bets Breakdown

Christian Scott 6+ K (-107), Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets

Dating all the way back to May 1, Scott has only thrown fewer than five strikeouts once in 15 tries. That’s a pretty high floor, and he has shown an ability to go beyond it pretty consistently as of late. The 27-year-old righty has gone for six-plus strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts. Among pitchers with at least 70.0 innings under their belt this season, Scott ranks No. 7 with 11.1 K/9 – ahead of Chris Sale, Jacob deGrom and Zack Wheeler, to name a few. The Braves average the eighth-fewest strikeouts per game in MLB, but they did let all three Yankees starters go for seven-plus punchouts this past weekend.

Dean Kremer under 5.5 K (-135), Minnesota Twins vs. Baltimore Orioles

Kremer spent the better part of seven seasons as a mainstay in the Orioles rotation before getting dealt to the Twins ahead of the trade deadline. Now, he gets to face his former team in just his second start as a member of the Twins. In his first Minnesota start, Kremer tossed 5.0 innings of one-run ball, but only recorded two strikeouts. Since returning from the injured list on July 1, the righty has come in under 5.5 strikeouts in six straight starts. While Baltimore’s lineup averages the fourth-most strikeouts per game in MLB, I think the familiarity with Kremer’s stuff will make it difficult for him to break out of his strikeout slump.

Hunter Dobbins 4+ K (+108), St. Louis Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Phillies

In eight appearances this season, Dobbins has gone for four-plus strikeouts every single time. Even in his three relief outings, Dobbins has come through. The Phillies have allowed opposing starters to record at least four strikeouts in back-to-back games, all while averaging the 10th-most strikeouts per game in the big leagues. Philadelphia also averages more strikeouts on the road than they do at home, which also plays into Dobbins’ favor.
