There are only two games on the slate tonight, tipping off at 8 PM EST between the Tempo and the Dream, while the Sky will visit the Storm at 10 PM.

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Rhyne Howard More Than 17.5 Points
Howard has worked her way back above this number in consecutive games, scoring 23 points against Phoenix and 19 against Washington after a rougher stretch in July. She is averaging 17.3 PPG this season while shooting 36.4% from three, so 17.5 is essentially asking for a normal Howard scoring night.
Toronto is the matchup we want for that, as the Tempo allow 93.7 PPG and own the WNBA’s worst defensive efficiency. Howard has already scored 20 points in one of her three meetings with Toronto this season, and Atlanta should have plenty of scoring opportunities against a defense that has struggled throughout its inaugural campaign. With Howard’s shotmaking starting to come alive again, we’re banking on her making it three straight games with at least 18 points.
Kamilla Cardoso More Than 8.5 Rebounds
The third-year center is averaging 14.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while becoming an increasingly important piece of Chicago’s frontcourt. Seattle allows opponents to collect 44.2 rebounds per game, the second-most in the WNBA behind only Chicago. That number has remained high recently, with Storm opponents averaging 45.0 rebounds over their last three games. Cardoso only needs nine here, and her role as Chicago’s primary interior rebounder gives her a clean path to taking advantage of one of the league’s most favorable rebounding environments.
Jordin Canada More Than 8.5 Assists
Canada has been one of the WNBA’s most productive distributors this season, averaging 7.5 APG and already establishing a new Atlanta single-season assists record. Her playmaking has ascended to another level recently, as she is averaging 8.6 assists over her last 10 games, putting her essentially right on this 8.5 line. More importantly, Canada has averaged 11.7 APG in three meetings with Toronto this season, so this particular matchup has consistently brought out her ceiling as a facilitator. The Tempo allow 22.0 opponent assists per game, the third-most in the WNBA, and that number has increased to 23.3 over their last three. Nine assists is still a demanding target, but between Canada’s expanded playmaking role, her recent form, and what she has already done to Toronto, there is enough here to be pretty optimistic about Jordin Canada tonight.
