Everyone knows the story by now. Briscoe was a terrible short-track racer in the O’Reilly Series. Everything changed when NASCAR changed the Cup Series package, The Generation 7 stock car cut the horsepower and neutered the short tracks. Shifting wasn’t a solution, but it was the direction. Briscoe was the first to embrace this novel and unconventional strategy. Briscoe took another leap forward as a short-track driver when he joined Joe Gibbs Racing. The No. 19 Toyota (formerly the No. 78 Furniture Row Chevy and Toyota) has always been great at short tracks. Briscoe isn’t quite Martin Truex Jr., but he’s not that far off.
Briscoe was the Iowa runner-up last season. He landed the final spot on the podium in the most recent short, flat track race (North Wilkesboro). As Briscoe develops, his results and performance align. Over the last season, Briscoe has been a top-10 driver at the short, flat tracks in terms of speed (cPOMS — Continuously Graded Percentage of Max speed). His finishing position in those races, including the second and third, is eight spots worse than his speed ranking. Long story short, there’s a lot left in the tank, or meat on the bone as they say on YouTube DFS shows.

Blaney burst onto the Cup Series scene by making hay at the short, flat tracks. That was during the close of an era. The cars were not equal. The competition was not equal. Young Blaney’s early short track success has developed into a serious strength for the seasoned star. He won at the short, flat track in Phoenix — a hybrid track, part short track and part intermediate track, similar to Iowa’s hybrid design — earlier this season. Blaney also has wins at Iowa — 2024 Cup Series and 2015 O’Reilly Series. In two Cup races in the cornfield, he finished first and fourth. In five runs at Iowa in the old Nationwide Series, Blaney has five top-10 finishes and three top fives.

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
