Check out my best bet below for Callum Walsh vs. Tyler Denny at today’s Zuffa Boxing event.
Callum Walsh by KO/TKO/DQ (+135)
Since joining Zuffa Boxing, Walsh has gone 2-0 with two wins by unanimous decision. Before debuting for Zuffa Boxing, Walsh had five consecutive knockouts but has yet to display his elite fight-ending power in the new promotion. Walsh last beat Carlos Ocampo in January at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is Walsh’s first fight at the 3Arena since September 2019, when he knocked out Przemyslaw Runowski in the second round. Denny is coming off a loss to George Liddard in March but won back-to-back fights before that.
This is a complete mismatch, as Walsh is No. 6 in BoxRec’s Middleweight rankings with Denny being No. 54. Oftentimes, when Denny has faced a top-tier opponent, he has come up short. Although Walsh hasn’t had a highlight victory lately, his last two wins were against two tough opponents, Fernando Vargas and Carlos Ocampo.
In this fight, Walsh is a -600 favorite with Denny as a +400 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 8.5 rounds with the over at -210 and the under at +150. Walsh is also +110 to win by decision and +135 to score a knockout. After two straight wins by decision, Walsh will bring the aggressive version of himself in front of his hometown crowd. Five of Walsh’s last seven wins have come by knockout, and he has never had three straight decision wins in his career.
